Abstractions help us to overcome the rigidity of the intellectual faculties of our mind which like to dwell in control mechanism but missing the universal truth that everything is beyond that. We see the world as if it was static and not in constant decay and rebirth. Abstract art attempts to capture the process and make the in between states of life visible or at least imaginable.

Movies help to see ourselves in other characters but they also offer us an escape into phantasy. Sometimes we become entangle in the characters and identify with them thinking what's on screen is the truth or possible in real life. Woman still struggle to reach full equality and are often portrait in movies the way men or society wants to see them but that leaves no room for true self development on the full spectrum of human options. Who is that self that births itself out of pop culture references? More or less we all have become actors forced into gender roles that have been in many ways pre-scripted by others like society our parents and yes movies.

Symbolism reigns bi in this display of crafty beauty. Symbols like letters that form words or not trigger in us emotional responses that repeat themselves in various scenarios and lead our subconscious to activate action. The fruit of our labor to try to decipher these stimuli is that we have hopefully visual pleasures that inspire us to engage on a deeper level with the world we take for granted.
